We use advanced technology to help create custom aligners for a comfortable fit and an accurate treatment process. Would you like to learn more?
Frequently Asked Questions About Creating Clear Aligners
Question: How do you decide who qualifies?
Answer: We will need to first perform a thorough examination. We want to pinpoint the cause and extent of the misalignment. From there, we decide which option will best correct an uneven smile. Patients are often surprised to find out that a wide array of people can qualify for treatment, including children, teens, and adults.
Question: What does taking a digital impression involve?
Answer: We use the iTero digital scanner. A small camera sits at the end of a wand, which allows us to gather a series of digital images of your smile comfortably. You won’t need to bite down on a sticky mess to make an impression. We can gather multiple mages in a matter of seconds, which will be used to design the aligners.
Question: Do I wear them every day?
Answer: Once he Invisalign lab completes our aligners, you will need to wear them every day. Each day, they should be worn for between 20 and 23 hours. You can take them out prior to meals or when brushing/flossing your teeth. About every two weeks you will upgrade to a new set as your teeth are repositioned gradually and gently. Total treatment time depends on the severity of misalignment and the patient’s age, but on average adults take a year while children and teens may need up to 18 months.
Question: What if I have questions?
Answer: If you have any questions about the treatment, the aligners, or whether you qualify, give us a call. We can schedule a consultation so you can be examined and talk to the dentist about your goals.
